The little house by the lake
The three of us went on vacation for a few days for the first time in a long time. Exciting. Booked: a small house by the lake somewhere in Burgundy. When we get there it is warm and the sun is shining. When I step onto the spacious wooden terrace, I feel comfortable. Nice. This will be our home for the coming days. The children’s curiosity when inspecting the house is great.
No frills
What is necessary is there. Sleeping places, kitchen, bathroom. The little house is furnished in a very modern way, everything is new. And the view! The view of the lake opposite is simply beautiful.
Pay attention to the simple things
How appreciatively one treats time, so far away from everyday life. Let yourself be carried away by the day and enjoy every moment. Everything is so simple. Bathe, look at the surroundings, eat, doze, walk and feel the wind as a pleasant breeze on your skin. Simply spending time with my children. I suddenly realize how much more I get out of the day when I’m not busy with so many material things. Of course I can’t compare the vacation with everyday life, but it makes me think about “too much”. There are no bells and whistles here in this mobile home. At home, there are floors full of furniture and things that need to be tidied up and cleaned. The question I ask myself is: “What do I really need?”
